About the Role
BEC Arabia is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Construction Manager to join our dynamic Project Management team in Riyadh. This role is pivotal in delivering large-scale infrastructure and construction projects aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. As a key leader, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, and government mega-projects. Your expertise will ensure compliance with the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
In this position, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders, to ensure seamless project delivery. You will be responsible for managing budgets, schedules, and resources while maintaining strict adherence to Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical construction activities for large-scale projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, electrical, and structural engineers, to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), safety standards (ISO 45001), and client-specific requirements (e.g., ARAMCO standards).
- Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project specifications.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate project delays and cost overruns.
- Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and addressing any issues.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all project sites.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials and equipment that meet project requirements.
- Support the training and development of junior engineers and site staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration.
- Proven expertise in managing mechanical systems for large-scale commercial, industrial, or government projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and BIM tools.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and relevant safety standards (ISO 45001, NEBOSH).
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
- Experience working on Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects.
- Familiarity with green building standards (LEED, Mostadam).
- Knowledge of ARAMCO and SABIC standards.
Working Conditions
- Based in Riyadh, with frequent visits to construction sites.
- Combination of office and fieldwork, requiring the use of PPE on-site.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions typical of the Riyadh region.
- Standard working hours with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
- Regional travel may be required for project coordination and stakeholder meetings.
