About the Role
BEC Arabia, a leader in construction, infrastructure, and engineering, is seeking Project Accountants to join our dynamic Finance team in Riyadh. As a Project Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of our large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations and corporate standards. Working closely with project managers, procurement teams, and senior finance professionals, you will oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with overall financial objectives and project timelines.
- Track and analyze project costs, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to maintain financial control.
- Generate detailed financial reports for internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Saudi regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers to forecast cash flow requirements and manage funding requests.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law, GOSI requirements, and other regulatory standards relevant to project accounting.
- Reconcile project accounts and ensure timely closure of financial records upon project completion.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable specific to project activities, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.
- Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries related to project finances.
- Implement financial controls to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
- Utilize financial software tools, such as SAP or Oracle, to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction or engineering sectors.
- Proficiency in financial software tools such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Labor Law, GOSI requirements, and project-specific financial regulations.
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification.
- Experience working on Saudi Vision 2030 mega-projects.
- Familiarity with construction project management tools such as Primavera P6.
- Knowledge of IFRS standards and their application in the construction industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros and pivot tables.
Working Conditions
- The role is office-based in Riyadh, with occasional visits to project sites as required.
- Standard working hours, with flexibility for extended hours during critical project phases.
- Collaborative work environment with a multi-national team.
- Compliance with safety standards and protocols is mandatory during site visits.
- Minimal travel outside Riyadh may be required for project-related meetings or audits.
