About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Foreman to join our dynamic construction team in Makkah. As a Civil Foreman, you will oversee and coordinate on-site activities, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in managing skilled labor teams, liaising with engineers, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.

This role is integral to BEC Arabia’s mission of delivering iconic infrastructure and construction projects across the Kingdom. Working on high-profile projects in Makkah, you will contribute to the development of critical infrastructure that aligns with Saudi Vision 2030. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily on-site activities, ensuring efficient allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety standards, including OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Interpret and implement construction drawings, plans, and specifications to guide on-site operations.
• Ensure quality control by inspecting work progress and materials to meet project standards and specifications.
• Manage and resolve on-site issues, including technical challenges, labor disputes, and material shortages.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and project alignment.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including work progress, equipment usage, and labor hours.
• Train and mentor team members to enhance skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks or delays.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other regulatory requirements.
• Support project scheduling by providing input on timelines, resource allocation, and milestones.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven expertise in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards, including OSHA and NEBOSH.
• Familiarity with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and local construction regulations.
• Experience in managing multi-national workforces on large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and basic construction management software.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Primavera P6 or other project scheduling tools.
• Experience working on mega-projects or government infrastructure initiatives.
• Knowledge of green building standards such as LEED, Estidama, or Mostadam.
• Fluency in Arabic and English for effective communication.
• Familiarity with digital construction tools such as BIM.

Working Conditions

• Work Location: Construction sites in Makkah, with exposure to outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• Work Hours: Full-time, with potential for extended hours based on project demands.
• PPE: Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on-site.
• Travel: Limited to project locations within the region.
