About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking an experienced Scaffolding Foreman to join our dynamic construction team in Riyadh. As a Scaffolding Foreman, you will oversee the planning, erection, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding structures to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency on-site. You will work closely with site managers, engineers, and a diverse team of skilled tradespeople to support the successful execution of large-scale infrastructure and building projects.

This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest safety and quality standards, aligning with BEC Arabia's commitment to excellence and compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), OSHA, and ISO 45001 standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures in compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
  • Inspect scaffolding materials and structures to ensure they meet quality and safety standards before use.
  • Coordinate with site managers and engineers to plan scaffolding requirements and schedules for various project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), OSHA, and ISO 45001 safety standards on all scaffolding-related activities.
  • Train and mentor scaffolding teams on proper techniques, safety protocols, and best practices.
  • Monitor scaffolding operations to identify and mitigate potential hazards or risks.
  • Maintain accurate records of scaffolding inspections, certifications, and inventory.
  • Collaborate with other construction teams to ensure scaffolding solutions meet project specifications and timelines.
  • Implement corrective actions for any identified deficiencies in scaffolding structures or practices.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by enforcing the use of PPE and adherence to site safety policies.
  • Report daily progress, issues, and safety concerns to the site manager or project supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certification in scaffolding or construction is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scaffolding Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
  • Valid Scaffolding Supervisor Certification from a recognized authority.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, ISO 45001, and Saudi Building Code (SBC) safety standards.
  • Proven experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and scaffolding plans.
  • Familiarity with scaffolding materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects or similar large-scale developments.
  • Additional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety qualifications.
  • Knowledge of Mostadam or LEED green building standards.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English for effective communication.
  • Prior experience with ARAMCO-approved projects or similar high-compliance environments.

Working Conditions

  • Work is primarily conducted on active construction sites in Riyadh.
  • Requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety harnesses, and steel-toe boots.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, including high temperatures typical of Saudi Arabia.
  • May involve extended hours, including weekends, to meet project deadlines.
  • Frequent standing, climbing, and working at heights.
