About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking a highly skilled QA/QC - Senior Architectural Engineer to join our dynamic Construction team in Riyadh. As a key player in our organization, you will ensure the highest standards of architectural quality and compliance across a portfolio of prestigious projects, including commercial buildings, residential developments, and government mega-projects. In this senior-level position, you will collaborate closely with project managers, design teams, and on-site engineers to implement and monitor quality assurance and control processes. You will oversee architectural inspections, ensure compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), and align project deliverables with client expectations and international standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of QA/QC plans and procedures for architectural works across assigned projects.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, design drawings, and the Saudi Building Code (SBC).
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of materials, workmanship, and construction methods to ensure adherence to project requirements and international standards such as ISO 9001.
  • Coordinate with project managers, design consultants, and contractors to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals for accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Prepare detailed QA/QC reports, including non-conformance reports (NCRs), and maintain comprehensive documentation for audit purposes.
  • Ensure all architectural works comply with safety standards, including OSHA and ISO 45001, and promote a safety-first culture on-site.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and site staff on QA/QC procedures and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to verify the quality of materials and ensure they meet project specifications.
  • Support the handover process by ensuring all quality documentation and as-built records are complete and accurate.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and construction technologies to continuously improve QA/QC processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the construction industry, with a focus on architectural works.
  • Professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
  • Proven expertise in quality assurance and control processes, including familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Proficiency in architectural design and review software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant municipal regulations.
  • Experience working on large-scale projects, including commercial, residential, and government developments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in LEED, Mostadam, or other green building standards.
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools and workflows.
  • Knowledge of NEOM, ROSHN, or other Saudi giga-projects.
  • Familiarity with Estidama and other regional sustainability frameworks.

Working Conditions

  • Based in Riyadh, with occasional travel to project sites across the Kingdom as required.
  • Primarily office-based, with regular site visits to monitor and inspect architectural works.
  • Exposure to construction site conditions, including the use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Work may involve extended hours to meet project deadlines and milestones.
  • Climate considerations typical of Saudi Arabia, including high temperatures during summer months.
