About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking experienced QA/QC - Civil Inspectors to join our dynamic construction team in Riyadh. As a key member of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all civil engineering works adhere to the highest quality standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications. This role is critical to maintaining BEC Arabia’s reputation for excellence in delivering complex infrastructure and construction projects across the Kingdom.

You will work closely with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to inspect, monitor, and document construction activities. Your expertise will directly contribute to the successful execution of high-profile projects, including commercial buildings, residential mega-developments, and government infrastructure initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and verify that all civil construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
  • Monitor on-site construction processes to ensure adherence to quality control plans and procedures.
  • Conduct material testing and sampling to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans as needed.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), ARAMCO standards, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve quality documentation, including method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and material submittals.
  • Support the implementation of ISO 9001 quality management systems and other relevant certifications.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure continuous improvement in QA/QC processes.
  • Collaborate with safety officers to ensure quality and safety standards are integrated on-site.
  • Verify that corrective actions are implemented effectively and documented appropriately.
  • Assist in training junior staff and contractors on quality standards and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the construction industry.
  • Certification in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
  • Familiarity with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and ARAMCO standards.
  • Proficiency in quality management tools and software, such as AutoCAD, Primavera P6, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and testing procedures.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in NEBOSH or OSHA safety standards.
  • Experience with LEED, Estidama, or Mostadam green building standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
  • Previous experience on Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects.
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

Working Conditions

  • Primary work location: Riyadh, with potential travel to project sites across the Kingdom.
  • Work environment: Combination of office-based and construction site settings.
  • PPE: Mandatory use of personal protective equipment on-site.
  • Climate: Exposure to hot and arid conditions typical of Saudi Arabia.
