About the Role
BEC Arabia is seeking a highly skilled QA/QC - Architectural Engineer to join our Construction team in Riyadh. This role is critical in ensuring that our architectural deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and client satisfaction. As part of our commitment to excellence, you will work on some of the most ambitious and transformative projects in the Kingdom, contributing directly to Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives.
In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, site engineers, and contractors, to oversee quality assurance and quality control processes for architectural works. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining QA/QC protocols, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), LEED, and other relevant standards. Your expertise will help BEC Arabia maintain its reputation for delivering world-class construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement QA/QC plans and procedures for architectural works in compliance with project specifications, Saudi Building Code (SBC), and international standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of materials, workmanship, and completed works to ensure adherence to quality standards and project requirements.
- Coordinate with project teams to resolve quality-related issues and provide technical guidance on architectural matters.
- Monitor and document all QA/QC activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with LEED, Mostadam, and other sustainability standards where applicable.
- Review and approve architectural shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for quality compliance.
- Perform root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with clients and third-party inspectors to address quality concerns and ensure satisfaction.
- Train and mentor site teams on QA/QC best practices and standards.
- Maintain and update QA/QC documentation and records for audits and project handovers.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, including OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001, during QA/QC activities.
- Support project closeout by verifying that all architectural works meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the construction industry, with a focus on architectural works.
- Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration or eligibility.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design and review tools.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC), LEED, and Mostadam standards.
- Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Familiarity with GOSI and Saudization (Nitaqat) compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Architecture or Construction Management.
- Certification in LEED AP or Mostadam Assessor.
- Experience working on mega-projects or government-funded initiatives in Saudi Arabia.
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 for project scheduling.
- Previous experience with ARAMCO-approved projects or similar high-profile clients.
Working Conditions
- Based in Riyadh, with occasional travel to project sites across the Kingdom.
- Primarily site-based, requiring regular inspections and coordination with on-site teams.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory on construction sites.
- Exposure to hot and arid climates, typical of Saudi Arabia.
- Standard working hours with potential for extended hours during project milestones.
