About the Role

BEC Arabia, a leader in construction, infrastructure, and engineering, is seeking Projects Maintenance Area Managers to join our team in Riyadh. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless maintenance and operational efficiency of our high-profile projects, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and government mega-projects. As a key leader, you will oversee maintenance teams, coordinate with project stakeholders, and ensure compliance with Saudi regulations and international standards.

You will be responsible for managing maintenance schedules, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing best practices to optimize performance across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance operations for multiple construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with project timelines.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with ongoing project workflows.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of maintenance teams, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, including Saudi Labor Law, SCE registration, and GOSI requirements, as well as international standards like ISO 45001 and ISO 9001.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring cost-efficient solutions without compromising quality or safety.
  • Oversee the procurement and inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, such as energy-efficient systems and green building standards like LEED and Mostadam.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on maintenance activities, performance metrics, and improvement plans for senior management.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction with maintenance outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance maintenance strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance management within the construction or infrastructure sectors
  • Proven expertise in maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and resource management
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and compliance with Saudi Labor Law
  • Certifications such as PMP, NEBOSH, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
  • Proficiency in tools like Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and CMMS software
  • Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)
  • Familiarity with GOSI requirements and Saudization (Nitaqat) program

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering Management or Business Administration (MBA)
  • Experience with mega-projects or giga-projects in the GCC region
  • Knowledge of smart city infrastructure and IoT-based maintenance systems
  • Additional certifications in LEED, Mostadam, or Estidama
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic

Working Conditions

  • Based in Riyadh, with potential travel to project sites across the Kingdom
  • Combination of office-based work and on-site supervision
  • Exposure to construction environments, requiring the use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols
  • Work in a climate-controlled office and outdoor environments, with occasional exposure to high temperatures
