QA/QC - Electrical Inspector

About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking a highly skilled QA/QC - Electrical Inspector to join our dynamic Construction team in Riyadh. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical systems across our diverse portfolio of projects, which include commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and government mega-projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical installations, systems, and components to ensure compliance with project specifications, Saudi Building Code (SBC), and international standards.
• Monitor construction activities to verify adherence to approved quality plans, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Review and validate electrical shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct routine and final inspections of electrical works, documenting findings and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and consultants to resolve quality-related issues promptly.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and quality documentation for submission to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with ARAMCO, SABIC, and other client-specific quality standards where applicable.
• Support the implementation of ISO 9001 quality management systems and participate in internal and external audits.
• Verify that all electrical testing and commissioning activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures and standards.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across all project phases.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the construction or engineering industry.
• Proficiency in electrical codes and standards such as IEC, NEC, and SBC.
• Certification in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems or equivalent.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Familiarity with GOSI and other regulatory requirements in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of inspection tools and software for electrical systems.
• Proven experience in preparing and reviewing quality documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in NEBOSH or OSHA safety standards.
• Experience with LEED or Mostadam green building standards.
• Previous involvement in ARAMCO-approved or SABIC-compliant projects.
• Advanced training in electrical testing and commissioning methodologies.
• Knowledge of BIM tools for quality assurance in digital construction environments.

Working Conditions

• Primarily based on construction sites in Riyadh, with occasional office-based tasks.
• Regular exposure to outdoor environments, including high temperatures typical of Saudi Arabia.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory on-site.
• May require regional travel within the GCC for project inspections and audits.
• Standard working hours with potential for extended shifts during critical project phases.
