About the Role
BEC Arabia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Construction Department in Riyadh. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and quality assurance of electrical systems across our flagship projects, including commercial buildings, residential mega-projects, and government infrastructure initiatives. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to ensure that all electrical systems meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems for large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and international standards.
- Develop detailed electrical engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and ETAP.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders, including clients and regulatory authorities.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to verify the quality and functionality of installed electrical systems.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to select and approve electrical materials and equipment.
- Implement energy-efficient and sustainable electrical solutions in alignment with green building certifications like LEED and Mostadam.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, including the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE), to ensure all engineering activities meet local and national requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, and other electrical design and analysis software.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and international electrical standards (IEC, IEEE).
- Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
- Demonstrated expertise in project management and coordination on large-scale construction projects.
- Familiarity with safety and quality standards such as OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
- Experience with BIM tools and workflows, including Navisworks and Dynamo.
- Prior involvement in Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects or similar large-scale initiatives.
- Knowledge of green building certifications such as LEED, Estidama, or Mostadam.
Working Conditions
- Primarily site-based in Riyadh, with occasional office work and regional travel as required.
- Exposure to outdoor construction environments, including high temperatures and dusty conditions typical of Saudi Arabia.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory on-site.
- Standard working hours with potential for extended hours during project-critical phases.
