About the Role
BEC Arabia, a leader in construction, infrastructure, and engineering across the GCC, is seeking a seasoned Civil Construction Manager to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. This pivotal role involves overseeing large-scale civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. As a key member of our Construction department, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects for prestigious clients such as NEOM, Saudi Aramco, and the Public Investment Fund entities.
In this role, you will manage day-to-day construction activities, coordinate with project stakeholders, and ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), safety standards, and client specifications. You will play a critical role in driving the success of projects aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, contributing to transformative developments in infrastructure and smart cities. This position offers a clear growth trajectory, exposure to cutting-edge technologies like BIM, and the chance to work on some of the Kingdom's most ambitious projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of civil construction projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel, to achieve project objectives.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
- Develop and implement project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, including OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001, across all project sites.
- Oversee procurement processes, including material selection and vendor management, in compliance with ARAMCO and SABIC standards where applicable.
- Prepare and present progress reports, financial updates, and risk assessments to senior management and stakeholders.
- Implement sustainability practices in line with LEED, Estidama, and Mostadam green building standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within project teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, SCE registration, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other construction management tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and local regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects in sectors such as infrastructure, commercial buildings, or smart cities.
- Strong understanding of safety standards including OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in LEED or other sustainability-focused programs.
- Experience with BIM tools and digital construction methodologies.
- Previous experience working on Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects.
- Familiarity with ARAMCO and SABIC standards for construction and procurement.
Working Conditions
- Primarily site-based role with occasional office work in Riyadh.
- Frequent travel to project sites across the Kingdom and GCC region.
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, including high temperatures typical of Saudi Arabia.
- Mandatory use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) on construction sites.
- Standard working hours with potential for extended hours during project-critical phases.
