About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking Land Surveyors to join our dynamic Construction Department in Makkah. As a Land Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of our construction projects, which include commercial buildings, residential mega-projects, and government infrastructure initiatives. Your work will directly contribute to the successful execution of projects aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, including giga-projects and smart city developments.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to conduct land surveys, establish control points, and verify construction layouts. You will leverage advanced surveying tools and software to deliver precise measurements and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys to establish accurate site measurements.
• Set out and verify control points, benchmarks, and reference lines for construction activities.
• Utilize advanced surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners to capture precise data.
• Prepare and maintain detailed survey reports, field notes, and as-built drawings.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure survey data aligns with project specifications and design plans.
• Monitor and verify the accuracy of construction layouts and elevations during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), municipal regulations, and project-specific requirements.
• Perform quality assurance checks on survey data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the integration of survey data into BIM models and other digital construction platforms.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on-site.
• Provide technical guidance to junior surveyors and site teams as needed.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments to ensure optimal performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
• Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar software.
• Familiarity with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant regulations.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Strong understanding of construction layouts, topographic surveys, and as-built documentation.
• Compliance with GOSI and Saudi Labor Law requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in BIM for Surveyors or related digital construction tools.
• Experience working on Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects or similar large-scale developments.
• Knowledge of LEED, Mostadam, or other green building standards.
• Advanced expertise in geodetic surveying and 3D laser scanning technologies.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 or similar project management software.

Working Conditions

• Site-based role in Makkah, requiring frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory on construction sites.
• Standard working hours with occasional overtime based on project demands.
• Exposure to dynamic construction environments involving heavy equipment and machinery.
• Regional travel may be required for project-specific needs.
