About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Inventory Team Leader to join our Procurement Department, based in Riyadh. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless management of inventory across our diverse portfolio of construction, engineering, and infrastructure projects. As a key member of the procurement team, you will oversee inventory operations, optimize stock levels, and ensure alignment with project timelines and budgets.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with project managers, procurement specialists, and logistics teams to maintain accurate inventory records and implement best practices in inventory control. Your contributions will directly impact the success of BEC Arabia's high-profile projects, including government giga-projects, smart cities, and industrial facilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the inventory management team to ensure accurate tracking, storage, and distribution of materials across multiple project sites.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize waste or overstocking.
  • Monitor inventory levels and generate detailed reports to support procurement planning and decision-making.
  • Coordinate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and alignment with project schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant regulatory standards in inventory handling and storage.
  • Oversee the implementation and utilization of inventory management software systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices in inventory management and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and logistics providers to streamline supply chain operations and reduce lead times.
  • Support the Procurement Department in achieving cost-saving targets through effective inventory control.
  • Maintain compliance with Saudization (Nitaqat) program requirements and other local labor laws.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 and OSHA safety standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
  • Experience working on mega-projects or within the GCC region.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP Inventory Management or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with green building standards such as LEED or Mostadam.
  • Experience in implementing digital inventory solutions or IoT-based tracking systems.

Working Conditions

  • This role is office-based in Riyadh with occasional visits to project sites across the Kingdom.
  • Standard working hours with potential for extended hours during critical project phases.
  • Travel to regional project locations may be required.
  • Work involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compliance with PPE and safety protocols is mandatory when visiting construction sites.
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions, including high temperatures, may occur during site visits.
